Fish and Tofu Stir-fry

This Fish and Tofu stir-fry is an easy dish to make, with simple ingredients but delicious result.

The fish fillet (I used cream dory) and the tofu are both rich in protein and inexpensive compared to meat, and your family could use a meat-less dinner once in a while.

This recipe is both sweet and savory -- sweet and salty from the oyster sauce and spicy from the chili peppers, enhanced with flavor the bell pepper, that added an extra dimension to the dish.

So, here it is……..Fish and Tofu Stir-fry in oyster sauce.

Ingredients:

• 750 grams Fish fillet (Cream Dory)
• 4 tbsp. Oyster sauce
• 500 grams Tofu (bite size)
• 1 tbsp. Fish Sauce (Patis)
• 2 pcs. Bird's eye chili (Siling labuyo)
• 1 thumb size Ginger, cut in strips
• 1 medium Onion, diced
• 2 medium Bell pepper (red & green) cut into wedges
• 1 package Chicken breading
• 4 cloves Garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp. Flour dissolved in 1/2 cup water (slurry)
• 2 teaspoons sugar

Cooking Procedure:

1. Slice the fish fillet and the tofu into bite size pieces and dredge the fish fillet in chicken breading.

2. Fry the fish and tofu until golden brown, then set aside.

3. In a separate pan, saute the onion, ginger, garlic and bell peppers, then add the fish fillet and the tofu.
